Maurício Cruz Mantoani – Postdoctoral Researcher

I am a postdoc research fellow at UCD under the supervision of Dr. Rainer Melzer and Dr. Jon Yearsley working on the PHENOGRASS Project and the effects of climate change on perennial ryegrass phenology. I have also taken my PhD in UCD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bruce A. Osborne and researched the effects of Gunnera tinctoria invasion in Ireland. Previously, I worked under the supervision of Dr. José M. D. Torezan researching the effects of Megathyrsus maximus on sites undergoing restoration in Brazilian Atlantic Forest. I am interested in climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, plant phenology, soil carbon, control of invasive alien species, restoration ecology, plant ecology and conservation biology.
